Why do I see www.aboutfuroshiki.com  instead of www.athreadedneedle.com?
We started this website as About Furoshiki and sometimes that is still the name that shows up. They are both us.

How shopping on this website works:
To begin, find the currency button on the top right corner of the page and set it to your currency.

Then enjoy some browsing, find things you want, and click on the 'buy' button beside them.  The 'shopping basket' on the left side will  keep track of your order.  When you are ready, click the 'view basket' button.  You will see a page with your order itemized. The site uses your address to figure out your shipping cost so you won't know how much that is until you sign in and enter your address, but once you have done that your order can be totaled with tax (if applicable) and shipping so you know the exact final cost. You can change or abandon your order at any time, right up until you have paid.

Don't worry if you forget your password another time, just click on 'log in' and you'll get a 'forgot password' question. Click there and you will be e-mailed a new password in minutes.  If you haven't registered, it's fast, we ask a minimum of questions.

You can pay with a credit card. When you are ready to pay you will be moved from our sight to a secure site called Paypal. Our site uses Paypal to keep your credit card information safe.  Paypal does not cost you anything, you don't need an account with them, and most importantly, it is secure to use. We never see your credit card information. To learn more about paypal go to www.paypal.com.
Finally, if you would rather not pay online, you can email or phone your order to us. We can take your credit card information over the phone. We do not keep your credit card information on file.




Shopping in person:
 As we are an online store, but you are welcome to drop in. However it is best to call ahead to avoid disapointment.  Also remember, as we are not a store so its best if you know what you are looking for before you come. I'm happy to answer questions and help you figure out what you need for a project, but you won't be able to see the products in the way you can in a store.  Also, be prepared for a bit of chaos! We are friendly, and it is interesting here, but there is often a lot going on!
